Guests and Guest Speaker
Andre welcomed honorary Rotarian, Don and teacher advisor of the Interact Club John Dennison.
John spoke briefly about the activities of the Interact Club before introducing Jared Hann and Jack Rigler.  These two grade 12 students from CBRHS, were competing in the Adventures in Citizenship Speak Off.  The winner would go to Ottawa to join over two hundred young people in the Adventures in Citizenship event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ottawa.
Program-chair Matt had already arranged that the speak off judges; Martin, Bernd and Debbie had time before lunch to meet with Jared and Jack.
The topic for the speak off was  “ What it means to be Canadian.”
Both gave excellent presentations and nobody envied the judges having to choose between the two talks.
The judges adjourned and after deliberations Martin announced the winner to be Jack Rigler.
The Rotary Wheel was spun and good news stories shared before the meeting was adjourned
