To celebrate world Polio Day October 24 the City of Corner Brook's mayor Jim Parson's on Friday October 23 signed a proclamation attended by City Councillor and Rotarian Bernd Staeben  and members of the Rotary Club of Corner Brook. Everyone then went to the site of the new Corner Brook sign on the lawn, West Street to plant donated tulip bulbs.  The money  made from bulbs sold by Rotary in July was all donated to the Rotary End Polio Now Fund.  This project has helped to eradicate polio throughout the world and will beautify the city in the spring when the tulips bloom. Thanks go to all who bought bulbs, planted bulbs and to the city for their help and support
