 Meeting Plans
President Trina spoke about her meeting plans in August to discuss action plans for the Club focusing on a community project.
Guest Speaker
Trina introduced the District Governor, Rob Christie as guest speaker.
Rob spoke about Rotarians thinking of Rotary in a new way which he illustrated using a triangle where the longest base represented the most important people-Rotarians. He asked everyone to think who inspired and has touched him or her the most.  He noted there needs to be a degree of flexibility in Rotary to reflect a changing world..
Rob wants clubs to meet their own potential and to increase their membership.  He would like to see for his year clubs get in to S.H.A.P.E.
S—Strengthen membership by having a strategic plan to help identify goals and      vision,
H— Humanitarian service
A--- Awareness of indigenous peoples and their needs
P --- Public Awareness
E --- Environmental stewardship
He asked that the club be inspired to S.H.A.P.E. up in the coming year.
Trina thanked Rob who then presented the True Rotarian Award for 2018-19 to an   amazed and overwhelmed Kathleen.
Jens played again before the meeting was adjourned
Rotary Meeting August 9
This was a successful social. It started with a visit to the 4.15pm GMSM Show ‘All Aboard’. This was a good show and most enjoyable in spite of the hot day. Rotarians gathered at 6pm on the patio of Sorrento’s for a good meal, drinks conversation and laughs’
