Jennifer began the presentation by speaking of the training Philip had to do in the months before the Games. She was Philip’s volunteer trainer and they met and trained weekly for him to reach the level of fitness required to participate in the Games. Philip had also been nominated for a national award and she proudly announced that he was the first runner-up for the award. Philip wearing his gold medal spoke of his experiences and successes in Thunder Bay. Jennifer ended the presentation by showing slides of Philip, his mother and team members taken at the Games.
