Club Business
President Trina discussed several items of Club business.
She began by talking about the Club sponsoring a Rib Fest event.  She had talked to the organizers in Sydney and Jennifer had discussed this event with organizers in Halifax. This is a possible event/fund raiser for the Club but there would need to be partnerships with other Rotarians and other service groups.
Trina will send e-mail to all Club members regarding the feasibility of sponsoring this.
She also spoke about the Club’s community project and the three possible projects the road train, new walking trail and the heading of a hospice committee that have been discussed at Club meetings in September.
Linda introduced her guest Louise Gaultier who spoke about CB Nuit, a petite nuit to be held on, October 12 and 13 on West Street.
Chair of the event Louise began by speaking of the success of Nuit 150 held last year and this year it will be a similar festival sponsored by local businesses. The aim is to foster creativity through participation in different sites along West Street
On Friday evening there will be a community art project whilst on Saturday evening part of West Street will be closed so participants can explore different art projects.
Louise spoke about some of the different art projects and artists who will be involved.  This sounds like a very creative evening for everyone to enjoy.   She gave an idea of the funding for this event and the different levels of sponsorship.
Natasha thanked Louise for her information about the exciting CB Nuit.
The meeting was adjourned at 1.3opm
