The Corner Brook Rotary Club  has donated $52450 USD to a Rotary  International Humanitarian Project from funds raised though earlier Wine to Water Events. This Humanitarian Project for Water, Sanitation, Hygiene and Economic Development will take place in  Obuasai Ghana, West Africa.

The total budget for this project is $158480USD.
With this Corner Brook  help and help from other Rotary Clubs, District Designated Funds, other sources, and a Rotary Global grant this project will be able to go ahead.

For this project thirty new bore holes will be drilled and 65 Microflush toilets will be built in Ghana.
The goal is to provide communities with clean water and sanitation in poor communities in the Ashanti and Central Regions of Ghana.
Small town water systems will be implemented in each community.
258 micro - credit loans will be provided for boreholes, Microflush toilets, farms, and small businesses to improve the economic strength of two communities.
This project will impact 25,527 lives.
Most of the communities impacted are in the Obuasi area near Kumasi, Ghana.
A very worthwhile Rotary International project to support
