On Wednesday, April 27th two Rotarians Olaf and Kathleen visited Eastside Elementary School to present a cheque for $500 to be used for books for each grade’s classroom library. The cheque was presented to the principal Robert Matthews and reading specialist Michelle Greely. It is hoped that as part of this Read A-Long project Rotarians and friends before the end of the school year will be able to visit the school to read from the donated books and meet the students in their classrooms. The aim of this project is to encourage all students gain pleasure and knowledge from reading.
