This year there is no final concert, and the Junior and Senior Rose Bowl will be held on Thursday evening with the winners being announced on that evening. He ended his information session by answering a few questions.
Program
Program – Chair Jackie introduced three representatives from RCSCC 184th Curling Sea Cadets who would be presenting a slide show about the corps.  Naval Cadet Mackenzie Long would give the presentation and with her were Chief Petty Officer Keara Titterington and past commanding officer Jennifer Hartley.
Mackenzie began by speaking of her own history being a cadet in St. Georges before joining
the RCSCC 184th Curling Sea Cadets. She gave a short history of the Curling Sea Cadet Corps which was commissioned in December 1962 with the present commanding officer being Lt(N) Shannon Banks.
The aim of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Program is to teach knowledge and skills about seamanship, sailing, and traditions of the Royal Canadian Navy. Another aim is to install leadership skills in the youth involved. The corps has a membership of about 40 now with ages ranging from 12 – 19 years.
Training is in person and virtual, but it was completely virtual for one year. The regular meeting night for the corps is Monday at the Gallipoli Armouries. Mackenzie spoke of the activities carried out by the corps. She spoke of the many opportunities available to cadets with summer camps in the Atlantic region, across the country and abroad.
She went on to discuss the different financial sponsors of the corps and Corner Brook Rotary Club is the community sponsor for the corps. She thanked the club for this sponsorship, and she outlined the use of the money donated.
When the slideshow was completed MacKenzie, Keara and Jennifer answered questions before calling upon Rotarian Ron to come forward to receive a plaque from the Curling Sea Cadets. This was presented to acknowledge and thank him for his involvement with the Curling Sea Cadets for 50 years by serving on the Sea Cadet Corps Rotary Liaison committee.  At the presentation they had several photos of Ron from over the years.  Congratulations from the Club go to Ron for his long-time service and interest in the Curling Sea Cadets
The meeting adjourned at 1.30pm
