Notes from the Rotary Meeting 12.30pm Thursday, September 8, 2022
Gerry chaired the meeting held in the Humber Room, Greenwood Inn, and Suites.
After lunch Gerry led various discussions.
- The first discussion was the suggestion to plan a joint venture or meetings with the Rotary Club of Humber.
- The next order of business was discussion about encouraging members to attend regular meetings. This might mean holding some meetings at different times. It was decided that one way to do this would be to give the members each month a list of guest speakers enabling Rotarians to schedule to attend Rotary when the topic or guest speaker were of particular interest.This led into discussion about the frequency of meetings whether weekly or biweekly was preferred.
- Rotarians need to be assigned to different committees. The fundraiser committee should be formed as soon as possible. Once this is formed, a decision can be made on the fundraisers for the coming year and planning can begin. The next meeting will be September 15th at the Greenwood Inn and Suites. The meeting was adjourned at 1.30pm after very active discussions full of good ideas and thoughts.
