Program Chair Elaine introduced Joy Connors of the Food Bank Network as the guest speaker.
Joy spoke not only about the Food Bank in general terms but also about the challenges facing the Food Bank as a result of the 20-year high rate of inflation.
This not only affects the cost of purchasing items for the Food Bank but it also causes more people to turn to the Food Bank as their own living expenses soar.
The results in more people are unable to manage their household expenses such as rent, heating and of course food.
The demand for Food Bank services is therefore greater than ever.
Joy's talk helped Rotarians become even more aware of the needs of people due to the increased cost of living
Rotarians brought food items to the meeting to be given to Joy for the Food Bank.
