Notes from the Rotary Meeting 12.30pm Thursday, June 22, 2023
President Jackie chaired the meeting.
After lunch, two new Rotarians were inducted by Elaine.
Both Rotarians Dean Porter and Peggy Hanlon-Brown were introduced by their sponsor Jackie.
Dean was inducted first. Jackie read his bio and then he was inducted into membership of the Rotary Club of Corner Brook by Elaine. Dean is the Primary Corporate Designee for the new corporate member of the club Poole Althouse Law Offices.
Peggy’s induction followed with firstly her bio being read by Jackie followed by her induction by Elaine into membership of the Rotary Club of Corner Brook.
The club welcomes new Rotarians Dean, primary corporate designee for corporate member Poole Althouse Law offices and Peggy.
Club Business
Gerry remined Rotarians about the lobster boil on June 29th.
Rotary Auction
Jackie gave a short report of the finances from the auction. She noted that all monies had been collected from the auction and the invoice from HandBid had been received.
Club Finances
In the body of the meeting Jackie reviewed the club’s finances in the 2022-23 year.
She noted the income of the club and the operating expenses for the year. There was discussion concerning future expenditures.
The meeting was adjourned at 1.30pm.
Note: There will be no lunch meeting on June 29th at the Glynmill Inn.
